During Week 7 of Term 2 2021 at Central Coast Sports College, Dominic Dates from the Wollotuka Institue at Newcastle University visited Indigenous students in Stages 5 and 6 to talk about possible careers, sporting pathways and opportunities to study at TAFE and university.
They discussed students’ passions, which range from studying medicine, operating a business in the fitness industry, and competing in NRL, soccer and boxing at a national level, while creating plans for what comes after sport and school.
